Panties are women’s undergarments than are typically worn under pants or skirts. During the 1950’s women’s undergarments were plain white panties until manufacturers gave the world of women’s underwear a whole new different look. Back in the day, women’s underwear was typically white and cotton but times have changed. There are so many different styles and colors now, you have to know what each one means before you buy it.
There are two uses for panties, these days and that is for the personal hygiene and modesty. No one except for perverts want to see what is underneath your skirt so modesty allows for underwear. There are some panties that have control top which is like a girdle that is used to flatten the tummy.
The other types of panties range from high cut, thigh cut, bikini cut and boy shorts, these are panties that are worn lower and they have more material around the hips making them look like shorts. There is a debate among manufacturers if thongs are considered panties, the manufacturer who make panties say no because the definition of the word is a full back of material not just a string. The thongs are in a category all on their own. Panties come in red, black, white, pink, purple, orange, stripe, green, polka dots you name the color they sell it. There are also cotton, silk, satin, lycra and spandex panties.
In any size and in any style, the sky’s the limit.
